For this client, we need a  SURF Corrosion and Coating Engineer who will:
Through follow-up and supervision of the engineering contractor, assure that the pipelines and risers corrosion protection (material selection, sacrificial anodes) and coating (anti-corrosion, insulation and concrete, field joint) design is fit for purpose, within the set of specifications and timeframe.
Ensure that engineering studies comply with Norwegian rules and regulations, company HSE and QA/QC requirements and applicable general specifications.
Ensure the compliance of the work with basis of design, project specifications and procedure for exceptions/deviations.
Ensure the compliance of the work (engineering, qualification and production) with applicable codes and standards and best engineering practices with the aim of reducing investments as much as possible without negatively influencing the required level of quality and safety in design.
Follow-up of all the qualifications (anti-corrosion coating, thermal insulation, concrete application, sacrificial anodes, Field Joint) and productions (all the coatings application, anodes fabrication) when required at Suppliers workshops, coating yards and Contractor installation vessels
Activities:
To ensure that the material section against corrosion, corrosion protection and coating design of the pipelines and risers are performed in accordance to statutory regulations and guidelines, Project Particular Specifications and Total general Specifications.
To control and validate scope of work for the corrosion and coating discipline in Detail engineering
To review Contractor engineering documents related to corrosion and coating
To participate in the making of technical decisions.
Co-ordinate activities with other disciplines.
To prepare the documentation necessary to implement modification requests
To prepare and develop derogation requests.
To participate in evaluation of Tenders Technical Offer documents for SURF EPSCIC.
To prepare input to the weekly report for the discipline.
To participate to follow-up of the qualifications and productions for the coatings application and anodes fabrication
To carry out any other duties or tasks that may be assigned by his hierarchical superiors.
To respect HSE including work environment rules and ensure that they are respected at all times, reporting any irregularities.
To communicate and interphase with engineering in Total office in Stavanger.

Qualification/Experience:
Engineer with 10 years experience in subsea pipeline corrosion, coating and insulation design in the North Sea and familiar with NORSOK / DNV requirements.
Good English
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Additional information:
Will be key person with competence in material section, corrosion protection and coating and needs therefore relevant competence to act and decide by him/herself.
